Zentrale Lernflächen im Neubau der FH Bielefeld: Zukunftskonzepte für die Campushochschule

Vier von sieben Standorten der Fachhochschule Bielefeld beziehen ab Herbst 2013 einen Neubau am Campus Bielefeld. Mit dem Campusneubau der FH entsteht auch eine neue Hochschulbibliothek. Darüber hinaus wird ein neuer Servicebereich geschaffen, den es an den bisherigen Standorten der FH nicht gibt: das sogenannte Lernzentrum. Lernzentrum und Bibliothek sollen die Campushochschule als Ort des Lernens und Lehrens in Szene setzen – mit ausgeprägter Serviceorientierung, innovativen Nutzungsszenarien und einer hohen Aufenthaltsqualität. Der Beitrag befasst sich mit der hochschulstrategischen Bedeutung eines Lernraumkonzepts für die zentralen Lernflächen der neuen Campushochschule. Die raumgeometrisch-bauliche Ausgangssituation wird ebenso skizziert wie die innenraumgestalterischen Planungen. Zentral ist der Ansatz als Servicekonzept mit dem Ziel, Studium, Lehre, Forschung und Weiterbildung wirksam und innovativ zu unterstützen.

Four of the seven campuses of the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences will be moving into a new building on the main campus in Bielefeld in the fall of 2013. This building will hold a new university library and, moreover, a new service area which had not been a part of the previous locations: the so-called learning center. Both library and learning center are intended to set the stage for learning and teaching – with a strong service concept, innovative user scenarios, and a highly appealing atmosphere. This article deals with the strategic importance of the learning center concept on the new campus. It provides a description of the initial structural conditions and the plans for the interior design. A central feature of this library project is the service concept whose goal is to provide effective and innovative support to learning, teaching, and research.
